God's people are to be overseen by elders (I Peter 5:1-3). Elders are men who meet qualifications as prescribed in I Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9. They are to feed the flock, ensuring that each member of God's family in a local congregation is spiritually thriving and successful. Their work is of vital importance. The local church is to respect them and obey them (Hebrews 13:17). Eau Gallie Church of Christ is currently overseen by three elders.
God's people are to be served by deacons. Deacons are men who meet the qualifications laid out in I Timothy 3:8-13. They work under the oversight of the elders. Their work relieves the elders of physical work, so that they may concentrate on spiritual things. Eau Gallie Church of Christ is currently served by two deacons.
